WD-40 is an all purpose liquid used for displacing moisture, corrosion control, lubrication, cleaning and penetration. It is able to penetrate the minute grain boundaries on metals and is regularly used to lubricate light machinery and electrical equipment. It is a mixture of chemical concentrates suspended in a high grade petroleum distillate.
