XP POWER DC-DC Converter, 500mA Switching Regulator Module - 5V 2.5W
High-efficiency XP POWER DC-DC converter (500mA, 1.65W). 9-72V input, -40°C to +85°C operation. Ideal for industrial, telecom & portable devices.
The XP POWER SRH05 Series DC-DC converter module provides an efficient and compact step-down voltage regulation solution. Designed to be a direct, pin-compatible replacement for conventional 78XX positive linear regulators, it offers vastly superior performance by converting input power with up to 95% efficiency. This high efficiency significantly reduces wasted energy as heat, eliminating the need for bulky heatsinks. This results in substantial space savings on the printed circuit board and grants designers greater flexibility for layout optimisation.
This non-isolated switching regulator delivers simple voltage conversion with excellent line and load regulation. It features low output ripple noise and maintains a low quiescent current of just 5mA under no-load conditions, helping to conserve energy in standby or idle modes. The robust design supports an ultra-wide input voltage range, accommodating systems from lower voltages up to 72V DC, and operates reliably across an extensive temperature range from -40°C to +85°C.
Ideal Applications
The SRH05 series is a cost-effective point-of-load (POL) power solution ideally suited for a wide array of industrial and commercial electronics. It is perfect for integration into 24VDC or 48VDC distributed power architectures, sensor networks, robotic control systems, and telecommunications equipment. Its reliability and performance also make it an excellent choice for test and measurement instruments, portable devices, and various types of battery-operated equipment where space and efficiency are critical.
