WISKA VentPLUG Nylon Pressure Equalisation Unit, Black, IP68/IP69 - M12
WISKA VentPLUG nylon unit for pressure equalisation in enclosures. IP68 & IP69 rated, flat design. For industrial & outdoor use.
The WISKA VentPLUG is an innovative pressure equalisation unit, essential for maintaining atmospheric equilibrium inside sealed enclosures. Designed to work in conjunction with compatible cable glands, it vents enclosures to prevent pressure differentials caused by temperature fluctuations or altitude changes, which can lead to condensation, seal failure, or operational issues for sensitive equipment.
Crafted from durable nylon (polyamide), this unit offers excellent resistance to environmental stress, corrosion, and a wide range of chemicals. Its flat, space-saving design allows for versatile and flexible installation in tight spaces where traditional venting solutions might not fit, making it ideal for compact control boxes, junction enclosures, and electrical cabinets.
Achieving the highest ingress protection ratings, it is certified to both IP68 and IP69 standards. This means it is completely dust-tight (IP6X), protected against long-term immersion in water under pressure (IPX8), and can withstand high-pressure, high-temperature jet washing (IPX9K). This makes it perfectly suited for the most demanding industrial, marine, and outdoor applications where exposure to dust, moisture, and rigorous cleaning processes is a constant factor.
Part of the trusted WISKA EVPS Series, this component is a testament to reliable German engineering. Its simple yet effective design ensures long-term performance, safeguarding the integrity of the enclosure and the valuable components within. By equalising pressure, it helps to extend the lifespan of seals and gaskets, contributing to overall system durability and reducing maintenance needs.
Ease of installation is a key benefit; the unit is supplied ready to mount, integrating seamlessly with standard cable gland entries. The sleek black finish provides a discreet and professional appearance that blends with modern industrial enclosures. This VentPLUG is an indispensable accessory for
