The Vitax SBK Brushwood Killer is a specialised selective weedkiller designed to target brambles, nettles, dock, woody weeds, hardwood saplings, and tree stumps in grass and other neglected non-crop areas without harming surrounding grass. Its active ingredient, Triclopyr, is highly effective against woody plants, making it ideal for brush control in rights of way and defoliation of wooded areas. It also effectively combats broadleaf weeds, with particular efficacy against Creeping Charlie.
Best Application Practices
- Apply from May to October (for woody weeds, June to August is optimal)
- Treatment for tree stumps is most effective in Autumn or Winter (avoid the rising sap months of April, May, and June)
- Ensure the soil is moist and weeds are actively growing for best results
- Wait at least six weeks before replanting any treated areas
