UNION 2277 3 Lever Mortice Sashlock is a satin chrome mortice sashlock with a 65mm case, designed for timber doors hinged on either side.

Overview

The Union 2277 3 Lever mortice sashlock is suited to timber doors hinged on the left or right and is suitable for doors up to 54mm thick. The deadbolt is locked or unlocked by key from either side, and the latch bolt is withdrawn by lever handle from either side. The lock is also pierced to accept a bolt through furniture.

The case size is 65mm x 108mm (2.5in), with a 44.5mm backset and a 57mm centre. The lock has a 12.5mm anti-saw brass deadbolt with hardened steel rollers, and the striking plate is finished to match the satin chrome forend.

A deadlock has a single deadbolt operated by key from either side. A sashlock has both a deadbolt and a latch, with the latch operated from either side by a lever handle. Mortice locks range from 2 to 5 levers, and a higher number of levers provides greater security.
