TUK Cat6/Cat6A 8p8c UTP Keystone Socket is a single-port RJ45 keystone socket for Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6A networks.

Overview

This compact keystone socket features a tool-less termination process that simplifies installation. It meets the Cat6A UTP standard at component level and is compliant with ANSI/TIA-568.2-D specifications. The socket is also compliant with IEEE 802.3at, making it suitable for Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) applications such as wireless access points, VoIP phones and security cameras.

Construction

The socket has a PC (polycarbonate) housing rated UL94V-0 for flame retardancy. Its contacts are made from nickel-plated phosphor bronze, which is intended to provide good conductivity, corrosion resistance and consistent performance over thousands of insertion cycles. The unshielded twisted pair (UTP) design is optimised for straightforward termination.
