By substantially reducing the size of the required heat sink—or eliminating the need for one entirely—this regulator simplifies circuit design and saves valuable board space.
Capable of driving loads up to 3A with excellent line and load regulation, this step-down regulator features an adjustable output to accommodate a wide range of power requirements. A standard series of inductors optimised for use with this regulator family is readily available from several manufacturers, greatly simplifying the design of switch-mode power supplies.
