The StarTech 2 Port USB to RS232 Serial Adaptor Cable is designed to add legacy functionality to modern computers that lack native RS232 serial connections. This rugged and durable adaptor allows you to connect two RS232 serial devices to your system via a single USB port, providing a reliable solution for industrial, commercial, and IT environments.
Real-Time Monitoring and COM Retention
Equipped with integrated LED indicators, the adaptor provides real-time monitoring of data transmit, data receive, and USB connection status. A standout feature is the COM port retention, which ensures that the adaptor retains assigned serial COM port values even in the event of disconnection or a system reboot, saving time and preventing configuration issues.
Rugged Construction and High Performance
Built to withstand demanding environments, the adaptor features a rugged one-piece TPE construction with Level 4 ESD protection (15kV air and 8kV contact) to safeguard your equipment. Copper shielding effectively reduces EMI/RFI interference, while gold-plated connections ensure optimal data transfer. Supporting serial data rates up to 921.6Kb/s, it is fitted with removable DB-9 nuts and includes DB-9 thumbscrews for broad compatibility.
Easy Installation and Broad Compatibility
For discreet and tidy installations, a mounting bracket is included. The adaptor is highly compatible, supporting Windows, Windows Server, Chrome OS, Linux, and Mac OS operating systems. The package contains the 2 Port USB to serial adaptor, mounting bracket, DB9 screws, and a user guide for quick setup.
