The Ronseal One Coat Damp Seal permanently blocks damp stains on walls and ceilings, even when applied to damp surfaces. It allows trapped moisture to escape without causing further damage. Once dry, you can paint or wallpaper over it for a seamless finish.

Before You Start

• Ensure the cause of dampness has been addressed.
• Open doors and windows for ventilation.
• Use dustsheets to protect surrounding areas.

Preparation

• Remove any wallpaper using a scraper.
• Sand off loose or flaking paint.
• Clean the area thoroughly. If mould is present, treat it with Ronseal’s 3-in-1 Mould Killer.
• Damp surfaces can be painted, but ensure they are not dripping wet.

Application

• Stir the paint thoroughly before use.
• Apply with a roller or brush.
• For small damp patches, extend coverage at least 30cm beyond the affected area.

Drying & Finishing

• Touch dry in 2 hours.
• Ready for painting or wallpapering after 4 hours.
• For mould-prone areas, finish with Ronseal’s 6 Year Anti-Mould Paint.

Usage

• Ideal for all indoor walls and ceilings.
• Compatible with bare or previously painted surfaces.
• Coverage: 5m² per litre.
