Raspberry Pi Ltd Official Raspberry Pi 5 Power Supply - White
Official 27W USB-C PD power supply for Raspberry Pi 5. Unlocks high-power USB peripherals with stable 5.1V/5A output and intelligent power management.
The Raspberry Pi Ltd Official Raspberry Pi 5 Power Supply (model SC1157) is a 27W USB-C PD power supply designed specifically to unlock the full potential of your Raspberry Pi 5. It is the ideal power source for users who wish to drive high-power peripherals, such as external hard drives and solid-state drives (SSDs), directly from the Raspberry Pi 5's four Type A USB ports. This is made possible through its support for USB Power Delivery (PD), allowing the Raspberry Pi 5 to communicate with the supply and select the most appropriate power profile.
This intelligent communication enables the Raspberry Pi 5 to automatically increase the USB current limit from the default 600mA to 1.6A per port, providing the extra power necessary for demanding connected devices. Delivering a maximum of 5.1V at 5A, this supply ensures stable and reliable operation for your single-board computer and its accessories. Its built-in power profiles also make it an excellent option for powering a wide range of other USB-C PD-compatible devices, offering great versatility beyond its primary use.
The supply features a robust 1.2-metre cable constructed with 17AWG wiring for efficient power delivery with minimal voltage drop. It boasts a wide input voltage range of 100-240V AC, making it suitable for use in various regions around the world. Designed with quality and reliability in mind, this official accessory ensures your Raspberry Pi 5 project has a consistent and trustworthy power foundation, essential for both development and deployment scenarios.
