Pro Signal LC-ST Duplex OM2 Multimode Fibre Optic Patch Lead - 1m
High-speed Pro Signal OM2 fibre optic patch lead with LC-ST connectors. Orange LSOH cable for data centre & network cabling.
The Pro Signal LC-ST Duplex OM2 Multimode Fibre Optic Patch Lead is a high-quality, reliable interconnect solution designed for modern data centres and communication networks. Fibre optic cables utilise glass fibres to transmit data via modulated light waves, enabling significantly greater bandwidth and faster data transfer rates than traditional copper cabling. This makes them ideal for high-speed networking applications, including backbone connections, server linking, and storage area networks (SANs).
Constructed with a durable, orange Low Smoke, Zero Halogen (LSOH) cable jacket, this patch lead ensures enhanced safety in the event of a fire by minimising toxic emissions. The LSOH material is compliant with stringent safety regulations, making it suitable for use in public buildings, offices, and confined spaces where air quality is a concern. The robust design provides excellent protection for the delicate internal glass fibres, ensuring consistent performance and longevity.
Featuring a duplex LC connector on one end and an ST connector on the other, this patch lead offers versatile connectivity for a wide range of networking equipment. The LC connector's compact, latched design allows for high-density installations, while the bayonet-style ST connector provides a secure, twist-lock connection. This combination is perfect for patching between different types of optical distribution frames, panels, and active devices.
The cable is built with 50/125µm multimode OM2 grade optical fibre, optimised for use with 850nm and 1300nm wavelengths. This specification supports high-bandwidth applications over short to medium distances, such as within a building or campus. It is an essential component for maintaining efficient and high-speed data flow in IT infrastructure, supporting protocols including Gigabit Ethernet, Fibre Channel, and more.
