MULTICOMP PRO Time Delay Ceramic Cartridge Fuse - 5mm x 20mm 250V 12A
1.6A 250V time delay ceramic cartridge fuse with nickel-plated brass caps. Ideal for PCBs and circuits with inrush currents.
The MULTICOMP PRO Time Delay Ceramic Cartridge Fuse is a high-reliability, axial-leaded electrical protection component designed for a wide range of applications. Featuring a robust ceramic body, it offers superior thermal stability and excellent arc-quenching capabilities, ensuring safe and reliable circuit protection. Its nickel-plated brass caps provide a durable, corrosion-resistant termination for easy soldering into PCB assemblies or wiring harnesses.
This fuse is engineered with a time delay (time-lag) characteristic, making it ideal for protecting circuits with inrush currents. It can withstand temporary current surges, such as those caused by motor start-up or transformer energisation, without nuisance blowing, while still providing fast-acting protection against sustained overloads or short circuits. Its 35A AC breaking capacity ensures it can safely interrupt high fault currents.
The compact axial leaded design is perfect for space-constrained applications on printed circuit boards. The ceramic construction offers high mechanical strength and flame-retardant properties, making it a safe choice for demanding environments. It is a fundamental component for engineers and technicians building or repairing power supplies, control panels, industrial equipment, and consumer electronics where dependable overcurrent protection is critical.
This fuse is part of the MP Leaded Cartridge PTU Series, known for its consistent quality and performance. Its precise ratings and durable build make it a trusted choice for maintaining the safety and longevity of electrical systems.
