Featuring a Tungsten Carbide Tipped (TCT) design, this drill bit is engineered for use with stationary machines on hardened steel, cast iron, bronze alloys, and manganese alloyed steel.

The C2 Carbide Tip enables drilling into materials with a hardness of up to 50 Rockwell C. Its four-facetted ground design ensures low drilling pressure and perfect centring, minimising effort while maximising accuracy. The drill bit body is constructed from Chrome Vanadium Steel, hardened to 56 Rockwell C for superior strength and longevity.

For optimal performance and extended tool life, Irwin recommends using a 3–6% emulsion coolant when drilling. This not only improves efficiency but also prevents overheating, ensuring clean and precise holes every time.
