Ideal-Tek 3 Wire IDC Gel Splice Jellybean Crimp Connector

The Ideal-Tek 3 Wire IDC Gel Splice Jellybean Crimp Connector is a compact, moisture-resistant splice connector designed to join three wires using an insulation displacement contact (IDC) design. It is intended for creating electrical splices in signal wiring.

Overview

The connector uses an insulation displacement contact design, allowing wires to be inserted quickly without solder or tools. Once the wires are in place, the connector is crimped shut with standard pliers, forming a permanent, gas-tight seal that mechanically secures the wires and protects the splice point. The internal gel filling provides moisture resistance, helping to prevent corrosion and maintain electrical performance in damp conditions.

Applications

These jellybean connectors are suitable for low-voltage signalling, data lines, sensor circuits, outdoor installations, and automotive applications, where reliable splices are required in damp conditions or wherever reliability is critical. Their distinctive red housing makes them easy to identify within a wiring installation.
