HYLEC 4 Pole AC Rotary Isolator Switch - 20A

The HYLEC 4 Pole AC Rotary Isolator Switch is a robust and highly reliable electrical safety component designed for secure isolation of three-phase electrical circuits. Featuring a durable, highly visible housing that resists impact and environmental factors, it provides clear indication of its on/off status for enhanced safety.

Engineered for high reliability, the switch incorporates silver-plated alloy contacts, ensuring excellent conductivity and long service life, even under frequent operation. The unit is constructed from polycarbonate material rated UL94V-0, offering superior flame retardancy for added protection in demanding industrial and commercial environments.

This isolator switch is rated IP66, making it dust-tight and protected against powerful jets of water, suitable for installation in workshops, factories, and outdoor enclosures. A key safety feature is the inclusion of a 4-pole earth terminal, ensuring proper earthing of the isolated circuit. The design includes captive retained cover screws, preventing loss during maintenance and facilitating secure reassembly. Furthermore, the switch can be padlocked in the off position (padlock not included), providing a vital lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) function to prevent accidental re-energisation during servicing.

With a rated insulation voltage (Ui) of 690V AC and suitable for systems up to 240V/440V, it offers versatile application. It is designed to handle motor loads and various operational currents, making it a critical component for controlling machinery, motors, and distribution panels where safe and reliable circuit isolation is paramount.
