ForgeFix Spring Washers M8 Zinc Plated, Pack of 100
Durable ForgeFix M8 spring washers with zinc plating for corrosion resistance. Prevents loosening from vibration. Pack of 100.
The ForgeFix Spring Washers M8 Zinc Plated are ring-shaped, split at one point, and bent into a helix. This design ensures the washer exerts a spring force between the fastener's head and the base item, effectively preventing loosening due to movement or vibration. The bright zinc plating enhances corrosion resistance, making these washers durable and long-lasting.
Key Features
- Spring Lock Design: Prevents loosening from movement or vibration.
- Zinc Plated: Offers superior corrosion resistance by forming a protective oxide layer.
- Versatile Use: Compatible with various bolts and nuts, ideal for engineering and machinery applications.
Applications
These washers are perfect for all manner of bolting applications where stability is critical, such as in engineering projects, machinery assembly, and other heavy-duty uses. The zinc coating further ensures prolonged protection against rust and oxidation, maintaining fastener integrity over time.
Corrosion Protection
Zinc acts as both a barrier and sacrificial anode, preventing oxidation of the underlying metal. The resulting zinc oxide layer is non-reactive, unlike iron oxide, and helps maintain surface integrity, ensuring long-term durability.
