ForgeFix ZP M8 x 90mm Carriage Bolt & Nut - Pack of 10
Zinc-plated M8 carriage bolts (90mm) for timber construction. Compliant with DIN standards, ideal for decking and structural use.
The ForgeFix ZP M8 x 90mm Carriage Bolt & Nut set is an essential component for secure timber-to-timber joining. Zinc-plated for superior corrosion resistance, these bolts feature a fully threaded shank (100mm) and come complete with a hex nut for easy assembly.
Also known as 'Cup Square Hex Bolts', these carriage bolts have a square section beneath the domed head, which prevents rotation during tightening. This design ensures a firm, non-slip hold, making them ideal for structural applications.
These bolts conform to DIN 603 and DIN 934 standards, ensuring reliability and durability in various construction and decking projects. They are widely used in house building, particularly for timber joist connections, and are a staple in decking assemblies where strong, secure fastening is crucial.
Zinc plating offers excellent protection against oxidation, ensuring a long-lasting finish. The zinc acts as a sacrificial anode, safeguarding the bolt from corrosion even if the plating is slightly damaged. Additionally, the zinc oxide layer provides further resistance, enhancing the bolt's lifespan.
Available in multiple sizes, the ForgeFix Carriage Bolt & Nut set is versatile and dependable, perfect for professional builders and DIY enthusiasts alike.
