Zinc plating plays a crucial role in preventing oxidation, ensuring durability by forming a protective barrier. In the event of damage, the zinc acts as a sacrificial anode, further protecting the metal. Unlike iron oxide, zinc oxide does not degrade the material, ensuring prolonged structural integrity.
