Everbuild Sika 101 Multi-Purpose Linseed Oil Putty, Natural, 1kg
Multi-purpose linseed oil putty for wood & metal frames. Easy to apply, crack-resistant with extended shelf life.
The Everbuild Sika 101 Multi-Purpose Linseed Oil Putty is a high-quality, hand-applied glazing compound designed for sealing glass into both metal and wooden frames. Its unique formulation makes it significantly easier to apply compared to competitive products, offering both professional tradespeople and DIY enthusiasts a smooth, controlled application experience.
Key Benefits:
- Ease of Application: Smoother and easier to work with than many competitor putties.
- Extended Shelf Life: Longer usability compared to standard linseed oil putties.
- Versatile Use: Suitable for wooden and metal frames, making it ideal for various glazing projects.
- Plasticiser-Enhanced: Added plasticisers improve adhesion and reduce the likelihood of cracking.
- Optimal for Single Glazing: Designed for use in pretreated wooden and metal rebates.
Limitations to Note:
- Not suitable for plastic frames, heat-absorbing glass, double glazing, or frames treated with decorative microporous stains.
- Always mix the contents thoroughly to blend surface oil back into the putty before use.
- Avoid overpainting until a surface skin forms—this takes at least 7 days, and up to 30 days for full curing.
