ECLIPSE MAGNETICS Neodymium Shallow Pot Magnet - 8mm
High-strength neodymium shallow pot magnet by Eclipse Magnetics. 6kg pull force, 13mm diameter, ideal for press-fit holding and clamping.
The ECLIPSE MAGNETICS Neodymium Shallow Pot Magnet is a premier choice for applications demanding exceptional holding and clamping force. Designed around a powerful neodymium (NdFeB) magnet encased within a precision-engineered, mild steel cup, this product offers one of the strongest magnetic performances available. The ferromagnetic steel cup, which is zinc plated for corrosion resistance, acts to concentrate and direct the magnetic field, significantly enhancing its pulling power beyond that of a bare magnet. This shallow pot design is typically wider in diameter than it is tall, making it an ideal, low-profile solution for integrating into assemblies and fixtures.
A defining characteristic of this magnet is its blind-ended construction. Unlike threaded or through-hole pot magnets, this variant has no built-in fixing means, such as holes or threads. This design is specifically intended for press-fitting directly into a prepared application, creating a permanent and secure installation without the need for additional fasteners. This makes it perfect for embedding into materials like plastic, wood, or non-ferrous metals, where it can provide a powerful, flush-mounted magnetic anchor point. While primarily for press-fit applications, the design can also be utilised in scenarios where a semi-permanent clamping force to a ferromagnetic surface is required, as its smooth, blind end offers no grip for easy removal.
Crafted for reliability, the internal magnet is made from N35 grade neodymium and features a durable nickel plating, ensuring a stable magnetic field and protection against degradation. The assembly is rated for a maximum continuous operating temperature of 80°C, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial and workshop environments. Renowned for their incredible strength-to-size ratio, neodymium magnets like this are the go-to solution for demanding tasks in manufacturing, engineering, woodworking, and DIY projects,
