BULGIN LIMITED Buccaneer Standard Series Circular Cable Connector Socket - 2 way
Sealed BULGIN Buccaneer circular connector socket, IP68/IP69K rated with screw contacts. For industrial, aerospace & defence applications.
The BULGIN LIMITED Buccaneer Standard Series Circular Cable Connector is a high-performance sealing receptacle designed for demanding electrical and electronic applications. This robust cable mount connector features a durable, glass-filled nylon (polyamide) body, providing excellent resistance to environmental stresses, impact, and chemicals. It is engineered to deliver reliable power connections in challenging conditions.
A key feature is its exceptional ingress protection, achieving a rating of IP68 and IP69K when mated, ensuring complete protection against dust and prolonged immersion in water under pressure. This makes it an ideal choice for applications exposed to harsh, wet, or washdown environments. The connector employs a screw termination system for secure and reliable wire connections, complemented by brass contacts plated with nickel for superior conductivity and corrosion resistance.
The design incorporates positive locating keyways, which prevent mis-mating and ensure a correct and secure connection every time. Its compact form factor allows for installation in space-constrained panels or equipment. Variants are available with colour-coded identification for easy circuit recognition and simplified inventory management. Assembly is straightforward, facilitating quick and efficient field installation without specialised tools.
This connector is part of the renowned Buccaneer standard series and is designed to mate with compatible in-line flexible or panel mounting plugs, creating a versatile and sealed interconnection system. It accepts standard cables with diameters from 6mm to 8mm, with alternative glands available to accommodate a wider range from 3.5mm to 9mm, offering excellent flexibility for different wiring setups.
