The AMP MTA-100 Housing, 26AWG, 3 Way is part of the MTA-100 series connector system, which utilises Insulation Displacement Contact (IDC) technology for efficient wire-to-board and wire-to-wire connections. This connector reduces labour costs by enabling the mass termination of wires, making it ideal for cable or harness assembly applications.

This housing features a single-row contact design with a 2.54mm (0.100-inch) pitch spacing, designed for daisy-chain applications. It supports insulation displacement termination for 28–22AWG discrete wires as well as notched ribbon cables when used with the appropriate strain relief cover. Additionally, the housings are colour-coded by wire gauge for easy identification.

The MTA-100 series offers versatility across industrial applications, with options for tin-plated or gold-plated (15µ and 30µ) contacts. It includes posted housings with an audible latch for secure wire-to-wire connections and board-mount headers in through-hole or surface-mount configurations.
