3M Double Sided VHB Acrylic Foam Tape - Grey 12mm x 33m
Permanent 3M VHB acrylic foam tape for high-strength bonding. Seals against moisture, absorbs stress & bonds dissimilar materials.
The 3M Double Sided VHB Acrylic Foam Tape is a premium, permanent bonding solution that revolutionises how materials are joined. This advanced tape features a firm acrylic foam core coated with a high-performance general-purpose acrylic adhesive on both sides, creating a bond that is both incredibly strong and exceptionally durable over the long term.
A key advantage of this tape is its ability to spread stress loads evenly across the entire length of a joint. This eliminates the point loading common with mechanical fasteners like screws or rivets, which can cause material failure. Furthermore, its high dynamic stress absorption properties significantly dampen vibrations and mitigate the effects of impact stress, protecting sensitive components and assemblies.
The application delivers a clean, professional finish, as the fastening method is virtually invisible. This keeps surfaces smooth and free from unsightly weld marks, rivet heads, or screw holes, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the final product. The tape also acts as a permanent seal, creating an effective barrier against water, moisture, dust, and other environmental contaminants.
This versatile bonding solution enables designers and engineers to use thinner, lighter-weight, and even dissimilar materials that might be incompatible with traditional welding or mechanical fastening. It is fast and easy to use, requiring no special tools, drilling, or curing time, which streamlines production and assembly processes. Ideal for a vast range of industrial, manufacturing, and construction applications, 3M VHB tape is trusted for its reliability and performance where a permanent, high-strength bond is essential.
