Walther Strong Heavy Duty Scrim Tape 50mm x 90m

Walther Strong Heavy Duty Scrim Tape 50mm x 90m is a self-adhesive fibreglass mesh tape for jointing and reinforcement in drywall, plasterboard and other construction applications. Supplied as a 50 mm wide tape on a 90 metre roll, it provides extensive coverage for larger jobs and reduces how often the roll needs changing.

Overview

The heavy-duty fibreglass mesh is designed to conceal seams, reinforce corners and repair cracks in walls and ceilings. The tape is described as offering strong tensile strength and remaining stable during application, including when embedded in heavy plaster or jointing compound. The open-weave mesh allows compound to penetrate the tape, which supports a bonded joint intended to help prevent future cracking and to give a smooth finish.

Key Features

• Heavy-duty fibreglass mesh with self-adhesive backing
• Open-weave design for compound penetration
• 50 mm wide tape on a 90 metre roll
• Self-adhesive backing for positioning on surfaces before jointing compound or plaster is applied
• Suitable for flat joints and internal or external corner beads
• Compatible with standard gypsum-based joint fillers, setting-type compounds and plasters

Applications

Designed for taping over plasterboard joints and arrises, and for reinforcing joints in plasterboard and drywall systems. The tape provides consistent support in high-stress areas where bridging gaps and stabilising joints is required.
