The Timeguard 24 Hour Fused Spur Timer Switch provides 24-hour time-based control for lighting and immersion heater circuits, with a one-minute shortest switching interval.

Overview

This unit provides time-based control for a range of electrical appliances. It features a clear digital clock and timer display that is easy to set and view, including from a distance. It is designed to switch lighting loads and is also suitable for use with immersion heaters up to 3 kW. It is not suitable for discharge lighting.

Programming

Programming allows up to four separate ON and OFF events within a 24-hour period. The shortest switching interval is one minute, allowing precise control. An optional one or two-hour boost facility provides temporary manual override of the set programme. The boost is self-cancelling, so the system returns automatically to its programmed schedule.

Safety and Operation

A red LED indicates that mains power is present, and a green LED confirms that the output is active. The double-pole switch provides complete circuit isolation. The front-accessible BS1362 fuse can be replaced by the user. An integral memory backup battery retains all programmed settings during a power failure, so the device does not need to be reprogrammed.
