Texas Instruments TPS2378DDA PoE PD Controller is a high-performance IEEE 802.3at (PoE+) Power over Ethernet powered device (PD) interface controller with an integrated 100 V, 0.5 Ω hot-swap MOSFET. It enables efficient power management directly from an Ethernet cable and is designed for demanding applications.

With a typical operating current limit of 1 A, the controller can continuously handle up to 0.85 A, supporting sustained operation. Its auxiliary power detect (APD) input provides intelligent priority switching between PoE and an external auxiliary power adapter, offering design flexibility for systems with multiple power sources. The device has a maximum input voltage of 57 V.
