TEXAS INSTRUMENTS TPD2EUSB30A ESD Protection Device, 3.6V, 45W
TI TPD2EUSB30A ESD/surge protector for USB 3.0. 3.6V, 45W, meets IEC 61000-4-2/4-5 standards for robust circuit defence.
The TEXAS INSTRUMENTS TPD2EUSB30A is a sophisticated two-channel ESD and surge protection solution engineered for high-speed, low-voltage data interfaces. It provides robust defence against electrostatic discharge and transient voltage events, meeting stringent international standards for reliability and performance.
This device is specifically rated to dissipate ESD strikes at the maximum level specified in the IEC 61000-4-2 standard (level 4 contact discharge). Furthermore, it offers a high 5A (8/20µs) peak pulse current rating per the IEC 61000-4-5 surge specification, ensuring comprehensive protection for sensitive circuits. Its low 4.5V DC breakdown voltage is a key feature for safeguarding modern, low-voltage components.
A combination of low capacitance, low breakdown voltage, and a typical dynamic resistance of just 0.6Ω makes the TPD2EUSB30A an exceptionally effective protection device for high-speed differential input/output lines. This performance profile is critical for maintaining signal integrity at USB 3.0 SuperSpeed data rates of up to 5Gbps. The convenient flow-through pin mapping simplifies PCB layout and routing.
Designed with environmental considerations, it is a green product manufactured without antimony or bromine (no Sb/Br). Its compact SOT case style houses 3 pins, making it suitable for space-constrained applications across a wide range of modern electronic devices.
