Texas Instruments LM5007MM adjustable DC-DC buck regulator with 9V to 75V input, 500mA output and MSOP-8 surface-mount package.
The Texas Instruments LM5007MM is an adjustable DC-DC buck (step-down) switching regulator that delivers a 500mA continuous output current from a 9V to 75V input.
The LM5007MM integrates an 80V, 0.7A N-channel buck switch and an internal high-voltage Vcc regulator, which reduces the external component count of a circuit. It uses hysteretic control in which the on-time is inversely proportional to the input voltage (VIN), helping the operating frequency remain largely constant across changes in load and input voltage. The design provides a fast transient response to sudden load changes and does not require complex control loop compensation.
Key Features
Protection
The device includes a current limit function with a forced off-time that is inversely proportional to VOUT, which minimises load current foldback. Additional protection includes thermal shutdown, Vcc under-voltage lockout, gate drive under-voltage lockout, and a maximum duty cycle limiter.
Specifications
Applications
The LM5007MM is suited to power supply bias applications and to space-constrained, surface-mount designs.
