Texas Instruments CD4060BE CMOS 14-stage binary counter and divider IC in 16-pin DIP, operating from 3 V to 18 V with integrated oscillator.
The Texas Instruments CD4060BE is a CMOS binary counter and divider IC in a 16-pin DIP package, operating from 3 V to 18 V.
The device is a 14-stage ripple carry binary counter with an integrated oscillator. The oscillator can be configured as either an RC or a precise crystal oscillator circuit to generate the master clock. A dedicated reset input returns the counter to the zero state and simultaneously disables the oscillator. All counter stages are master-slave flip-flops that advance one step in binary order on the negative transition of the clock.
The inputs and outputs are fully buffered for improved noise immunity and drive capability. The clock input incorporates a Schmitt trigger, which permits unlimited input pulse rise and fall times. The device is fully static in operation and can maintain its state indefinitely with a stable DC clock level.
Applications
This IC is suited to constructing control counters, precision timers, frequency dividers, and time-delay circuits. It meets the requirements of the JEDEC standard JESD 13B and is 100% tested for quiescent current at 20 V. With a clock rate of up to 12 MHz at 15 V and an operating temperature range from -55°C to 125°C, it is specified for demanding environments.
Specifications
Select this device when a CMOS binary counter with an integrated oscillator is required for timing, division, or control applications within the stated 3 V to 18 V supply range.
