TEXAS INSTRUMENTS 3.3V 500mA Voltage Regulator TO-220-3
TEXAS INSTRUMENTS 3.3V 500mA TO-220 voltage regulator with thermal protection. Reliable fixed-voltage power management for electronics.
The UA78M33CKCS is a fixed-voltage, integrated-circuit voltage regulator designed for use in a wide range of applications. This 3-terminal regulator delivers a stable 3.3V output with a maximum current of 500mA, making it suitable for power management tasks in various electronic systems. The device requires no external components, simplifying design and reducing board space.
Built-in protection features ensure reliable operation: internal thermal-overload protection, short-circuit current limiting, and output transistor safe-area compensation. The regulator is essentially immune to overload, and its high power-dissipation capability allows it to handle demanding conditions. In addition to fixed-voltage use, the device can be paired with external components to achieve adjustable output voltages and currents, or used as a power-pass element in precision regulators.
The device comes in a TO-220 package with three pins, suitable for through-hole mounting. It operates over a temperature range of 0°C to 125°C and accepts input voltages from 5.3V to 25V. This regulator is ideal for a wide variety of power supply and voltage regulation applications.
