TE Connectivity JPT Contact Extraction Tool 2.8mm
Precision extraction tool for JPT receptacle and 2.8mm tab contacts. Ideal for maintenance and repair tasks. Compact and easy to use.
The TE Connectivity JPT Contact Extraction Tool is a precision-engineered instrument designed for the safe and efficient removal of Junior Power Timer (JPT) receptacle contacts and 2.8mm tab contacts from their respective housings. This tool is essential for maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring that contacts are extracted without damage to the connector or the wiring.
The tool comprises a robust handle, a protective cover with locking latches, and a specialised extraction tip. The tip is engineered to enter the contact cavity in front of the connector, where it depresses the locking lances of the receptacle contact. Once the tip is fully bottomed, the contact can be easily removed by pulling on the wire manually. This mechanism ensures a controlled and secure extraction process, minimising the risk of damage to the connector or the contact.
This extraction tool is specifically designed for use with Junior Power Timer (JPT), SPT, and TAB 2.8/4.8/5.8mm contacts, making it a versatile addition to any technician's toolkit. Its compact size and lightweight construction make it easy to handle and store.
