StarTech.com RJ45 Port Security Locks with Key, 10 Pack
Secure unused network ports with StarTech.com RJ45 security locks. 10 locks & key for switches, patch panels. Snap-in fit, dust protection.
StarTech.com RJ45 Port Security Locks provide a simple, effective, and robust solution to mitigate the security risks posed by unused network ports. By offering both a physical barrier and a clear visual deterrent, they instantly restrict unauthorised access to open connections in network switches, patch panels, and keystone jacks. Their universal design ensures compatibility with all standard RJ45 ports, clicking securely into place without interfering with adjacent ports or cabling.
Installation is effortless – each lock simply snaps into the target port. Once fitted, it can only be removed using the unique, supplied security key, preventing casual tampering or disconnection. This makes them an ideal, low-cost measure for securing sensitive areas in server rooms, offices, data centres, and educational facilities where network integrity is paramount.
Beyond security, these reusable locks also serve a practical maintenance function. By sealing off unused ports, they prevent the accumulation of dust, dirt, and other foreign matter that can degrade connection quality and damage expensive network equipment over time. Each lock is built for repeated use and can be installed and removed as often as needed without loss of functionality.
Supplied in a convenient pack of ten port locks complete with one security key, this kit offers excellent value for securing multiple access points across your infrastructure. Implementing these locks is a proactive step in enforcing IT security policies, maintaining network hygiene, and safeguarding your organisation's digital assets from physical layer threats.
