StarTech.com Privacy Filter for 16-inch MacBook Pro 2021 & 2023
Privacy filter for 16-inch MacBook Pro. Reversible anti-glare/matte design blocks side views & 51% of blue light. Easy install.
The StarTech.com Privacy Filter is specifically engineered for the 16-inch MacBook Pro 2021 and 2023 models. This screen protector effectively combats visual eavesdropping by darkening the screen when viewed from the side, ensuring your sensitive data remains confidential whether you're working in an open-plan office, a café, or on public transport.
Designed for versatility, the filter features a unique reversible design. One side has an anti-glare matte finish, perfect for reducing reflections and improving visibility in brightly lit environments. The other side is a high-gloss finish, which helps retain the vibrant colours and sharpness of your MacBook's Retina display. With a light transmittance of 57.5%, it achieves an optimal balance, maintaining excellent screen clarity for you while restricting the view for onlookers.
Beyond privacy, this filter is built for user comfort. It blocks up to 51% of harmful blue light emissions (in the 380-480nm wavelength range), helping to reduce digital eye strain, minimise headaches, and improve overall visual comfort during long working sessions. The filter provides a clear viewing angle of 60 degrees (plus or minus 30 degrees from centre), ensuring a perfect view for you without interfering with your laptop's functionality—it won't obstruct the built-in webcam, sensors, or prevent the lid from closing properly.
Installation is quick, simple, and completely reversible. The package includes transparent, residue-free adhesive strips that allow for easy application and removal without leaving any marks on your premium laptop screen. Crafted from durable plastic, this privacy filter is a must-have accessory for professionals, students, and anyone who values their digital privacy and eye health.
