Rustins Surface Cleaner for Antique Furniture, 125ml
Rustins Surface Cleaner (125ml) removes grime & wax from antique furniture, preserving its patina & preparing it for refinishing.
The Rustins Surface Cleaner is a powerful solvent blend designed to effectively remove grime and wax from wooden surfaces, particularly antique and old furniture. Its advanced formula ensures thorough cleaning without damaging the attractive patina that develops over time.
To use, apply the cleaner with a soft cloth. For heavily soiled wood, 000 steel wool can be used; for open-grained wood, a coarser grade of steel wool is recommended. It’s crucial to wipe the surface with a clean rag or kitchen towel while the cleaner is still wet to prevent redepositing wax and dirt.
If the cleaned surface appears dull but intact, you can restore the gloss with Rustins Finish Reviver, which also helps eliminate minor defects. This cleaner is an essential tool for preserving and revitalising antique furniture with care.
