Raspberry Pi Build HAT expansion board with four connectors for LEGO Technic motors and sensors, plus Python library support.
The Raspberry Pi Build HAT for LEGO Technic is an expansion board with four dedicated connectors for adding LEGO Technic motors and sensors to a Raspberry Pi. It is designed to combine Raspberry Pi computing with physical engineering, supporting projects from simple automated models to complex, programmable robots.
Overview
The Build HAT is designed for integration with the LEGO education ecosystem, specifically SPIKE Prime, to support hands-on learning that bridges computing and physical engineering. It fits any Raspberry Pi model with a 40-pin GPIO header, ensuring broad compatibility across the Raspberry Pi family.
Key Features
Compatibility
The Build HAT is fully compatible with components from the LEGO SPIKE portfolio and the LEGO MINDSTORMS Robot Inventor Kit, as well as any other LEGO device using the standard LPF2 connector.
Power
Power is supplied via a 2.1 mm barrel DC power connector (centre positive). Using the recommended Build HAT Power Supply, sold separately, both the Raspberry Pi and all connected LEGO devices can be powered from a single source. This power delivery method is not supported for the Raspberry Pi 400.
