It senses when the ambient temperature reaches its 80°C set point and switches to activate or deactivate connected heating or cooling systems. Construction

The switch uses AgNi/Cu (T2) stationary and movable contacts, a brass stationary arm and a PF case with an aluminium cap. The internal mechanism incorporates a bimetal disc and an alloy copper movable arm for thermal response, combined with a nickel-plated steel reset pin and a ceramic actuator pin.

Electrical Performance

Contact resistance is below 50 mΩ at DC 5V/0.25A. Insulation resistance is above 100 MΩ at DC 500V applied between the terminals and the cap. Dielectric strength withstands 1500V AC for one minute between the same points.
