Loctite 574 Medium Strength Flange Sealant, 50ml
Loctite 574 anaerobic flange sealant, 50ml. Seals rigid metal flanges, resists oil, water & glycol. For industrial gasketing.
The Loctite 574 Medium Strength Flange Sealant is a high-performance, dimethacrylate ester gasketing product designed for creating reliable seals on machined and rigid metal flanges. It is expertly formulated to seal close-fitting joints between rigid metal faces, curing only when confined in the absence of air between these surfaces. This makes it an ideal solution for forming-in-place gaskets on rigid flanged connections, providing immediate resistance to low pressures right after assembly.
A key feature of this sealant is its excellent application control. Its unique nature significantly reduces the migration of liquid product after it has been applied to the substrate, ensuring a clean and precise seal without messy runoff. It offers outstanding chemical resistance, boasting a high oil tolerance along with excellent resistance to water and glycol, making it suitable for demanding industrial environments where exposure to fluids is common.
Technical Performance
The sealant is designed for robust performance with a maximum gap-filling capability of 0.25mm. It operates reliably across an extensive service temperature range from -55°C to 150°C. It forms a strong bond with a tensile shear strength of 8.5N/mm² and is specifically formulated for use on metal substrates. For efficient planning, its fixture time is 15 minutes on steel and 45 minutes on aluminium, allowing for adequate handling time during assembly processes.
Supplied in a convenient 50ml bottle for easy manual dispensing, this orange-coloured sealant is a trusted choice for general industrial bonding and sealing applications where a durable, form-in-place gasket is required.
