FTDI RPi-HUB-MODULE USB hub and multi-interface converter for Raspberry Pi, with three USB 2.0 ports and UART, SPI, I2C, JTAG and GPIO support.
The FTDI RPi-HUB-MODULE is a USB hub and multi-interface converter module designed for the Raspberry Pi, providing up to three additional USB 2.0 Hi-Speed ports alongside a flexible USB-to-serial interface.
Overview
At its core is the FT2232H, a high-speed dual-port USB bridge chip that handles all signalling and protocols. By default it provides two independent UART channels, and it can be configured for SPI, I2C, JTAG, and GPIO through its Multi-Protocol Synchronous Serial Engine (MPSSE). All I/O pins are 5V tolerant, offering protection for connected devices.
The module also integrates a GL850G USB 2.0 Hi-Speed hub controller, adding up to three downstream USB ports. These are accessible via a dual-port USB type A connector and a 0.1” pitch header, making it simple to connect additional USB devices to your Raspberry Pi. An external power input connector is available to supply sufficient power to these downstream ports, supporting stable operation of connected peripherals.
Key Features
Choose the FTDI RPi-HUB-MODULE when you need to expand USB connectivity on a Raspberry Pi while also providing serial and hardware debugging interfaces for development work.
