DOTS Kitchen Sink Unblocker Granules 500 g
DOTS super-strength drain unblocker granules (500 g) for kitchen sinks. Clears fat, grease, and food residues. Suitable for cleaning and paint stripping.
The DOTS Kitchen Sink Unblocker Granules present a super-strength industrial and domestic formula for tackling tough drain blockages. These fast-acting granules are engineered to swiftly and effectively clear slow-running kitchen drains by generating a high-heat reaction. This reaction specifically targets and breaks down stubborn accumulations of fat, grease, and food residues, restoring free flow to pipes and drains.
For Kitchen Sink, Drain & Pipe Blockages
To clear an existing blockage, gradually add 250 g of granules to 3 litres of cold water and stir gently. The solution will heat up as the chemicals activate. Pour it immediately into the drain and leave to work for 20 minutes, then flush through with boiling water. For preventative maintenance and to avoid future problems, regular treatment with a half-strength mix (250 g granules to 6 litres of water) is highly effective.
Versatile Cleaning & Sanitising
Beyond drain care, these powerful granules are excellent for general heavy-duty cleaning. For tasks like scrubbing dustbins, kennels, stables, or driveways, simply add 1-2 tablespoons of granules per 5 litres of water. Scrub the soiled area with the solution, then wash down thoroughly with water to effectively remove oil and soot from surfaces.
Unexpected Uses – Paint Stripping
The concentrated formula can also be used for paint stripping. Carefully apply a solution of 250 g granules mixed with 1 litre of cold water using an old paint brush. When the paint begins to blister, scrape it off and rinse the area thoroughly.
Important Safety & Usage Instructions
- Always dissolve the granules thoroughly in cold water before use, as the mixing process itself generates significant heat.
- Use a plastic bucket and stir carefully with a wooden spoon or stick.
- Crucially, always add the granules to the water, not water to the granules.
