3M EMI Shielding Tape, Conductive Copper Foil - 6mm
3M copper foil EMI shielding tape with conductive adhesive for grounding & static discharge. Flame retardant, 16.5m roll.
The 3M EMI Shielding Tape is a high-performance, electrically conductive adhesive tape designed for reliable grounding and electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding. This deadsoft copper foil tape features a pressure-sensitive, acrylic-based conductive adhesive that ensures excellent point-to-point electrical contact without the need for moisture, solvents, or heat during application. It is supplied on a removable liner for straightforward die-cutting, handling, and precise placement.
A key feature is the tape's flame-retardant construction, which meets the UL-510A standard, making it suitable for use in a wide range of electronic equipment, sensitive components, and shielded rooms. The high-purity copper foil backing offers outstanding resistance to oxidation and discoloration, maintaining its performance and appearance over time. The conductive particles within the adhesive layer provide a low-resistance pathway for static charge draining and effective EMI suppression.
Primary Applications
This versatile tape is engineered for grounding circuits, creating EMI/RFI shields, and providing static charge dissipation in various assemblies. Its reliable adhesion and electrical properties make it indispensable in the electronics manufacturing, telecommunications, and aerospace sectors. It is perfect for sealing seams on enclosures, bonding grounding straps, and providing shielding in sensitive instrumentation.
